Copyright and takedown
Last updated 24 October 2026
People upload their own music, images, video and fonts to portfolbio. Uploading something means telling us you have the right to publish it. We don't scan uploads for copyright automatically, so we rely on rights holders telling us when something's wrong. This page explains how to tell us and what happens next.
Reporting something you own
The fastest way is the "Report this page" link at the bottom of the profile: choose "Copyright" and leave an email so we can reply. You can also email [email protected]. Either way, include:
- the page's address, and which file or part of it is yours (for example "the second track in the player")
- what the original work is, and that you own it or act for the owner
- your name and how to reach you
- a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorised, and that the information you've given is accurate
What we do
- A person reviews the report, usually within 2 working days.
- If it's valid, we remove the file. Its stored copies are deleted and the page stops showing it within a minute. We email the page owner to say what was removed and why.
- If a report is unclear, we ask the reporter for what's missing. If it's clearly not valid, we close it and tell the reporter.
If your upload was removed
If you believe it was removed by mistake, or that you have the right to use it, email [email protected] with the details. We'll pass your reply on to the person who reported it. Unless they show us they've started legal action, we may restore the file.
Repeat infringement
We suspend accounts that keep uploading other people's work after removals.
Fonts and music on portfolbio
The fonts in our catalogue are open-licensed and served from our own servers. Music on profiles is uploaded by the page owner, who is responsible for having the rights to it. Embedded players (YouTube, Spotify, SoundCloud and others) are hosted by those services, so report content there to them.
